The Emergency First Response Instructor course prepares you to teach EFR courses to divers and non-divers — at dive centres, workplaces, schools and in your community.

What you will learn

• Teaching EFR Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid).
• Teaching Care for Children and CPR & AED courses.
• Running skill practice and evaluating participants.
• EFR standards, course administration and marketing your courses.

How the course runs

• Knowledge development through the EFR Instructor materials.
• A classroom session with your Course Director, including teaching presentations and skill workshops.
• EFR Instructor final exam.
• After the course, your instructor application is submitted to PADI to receive your EFR Instructor rating.

Before you start

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Prerequisite: EFR Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent) completed within the last 24 months.
