The Red Sea is home to hundreds of reef fish species. The AWARE Fish Identification specialty teaches you how to recognise fish families and species, so every dive becomes richer and more meaningful.

What you will learn

• Identifying fish families by shape, colour and behaviour.
• Recognising common Red Sea reef species.
• Fish survey techniques used in ocean conservation.
• Observing marine life without disturbing it.

How the course runs

• Knowledge development: PADI eLearning at your own pace, or a classroom session with your instructor.
• 2 open water dives with your instructor. Open water dives take place in the sea in Jeddah or Dammam.
• On completion you receive the PADI AWARE Fish Identification certification.

Before you start

• Minimum age: 10 years.
• Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver (or Junior Open Water Diver), or an equivalent certification.
