The Equipment Specialist course takes the mystery out of scuba equipment. You learn how your regulator, BCD and cylinder work, how to care for them, and how to fix the small problems that can otherwise end a dive day.

What you will learn

• How regulators, BCDs, cylinders and dive computers work.
• Routine care, cleaning and storage of your equipment.
• Common problems and simple adjustments you can make yourself.
• When equipment needs professional servicing.

How the course runs

• Knowledge development and hands-on practical sessions with your instructor.
• No dives are required for this course.
• On completion you receive the PADI Equipment Specialist certification.

Before you start

• Minimum age: 10 years.
• No prior diving certification is required.
