The Underwater Navigator specialty makes you the diver your buddies trust. You learn to navigate with a compass and with natural features, estimate distance and return exactly where you planned.

What you will learn

• Estimating distance underwater by kick cycles, time and air.
• Natural navigation using reef features, sand ripples and light.
• Compass navigation: straight lines, squares and triangles.
• Mapping a dive site and planning your route.

How the course runs

• Knowledge development: PADI eLearning at your own pace, or a classroom session with your instructor.
• 3 open water navigation dives with your instructor. Open water dives take place in the sea in Jeddah or Dammam.
• On completion you receive the PADI Underwater Navigator certification.

Before you start

• Minimum age: 12 years.
